Kurrajong Remembrance Day Centenary
Assemble at 10:45am for the traditional service.
Kurrajong District War Memorial Club invites the Hawkesbury community to commemorate the Centenary of Remembrance Day. From 12:00 noon, there will be a free sausage sizzle run by the Kurrajong Rural Fire Service and the Remembrance Day Poster Competition displayed in the Kurrajong CWA Hall. Event finishes 3:00pm.
Mitchell Centenary of Armistice Commemoration
A late afternoon / evening event for people to reflect on Armistice Day. Castle Hill RSL Youth Orchestra will play Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. Castle Hill RSL Pipe Band and the RNSW Lancers Band will also perform. Attendees can bring a rug and a picnic. Food and coffee will also be available. Event is free but attendees are asked to book via Eventbrite. Bella Vista Farm, Bella Vista.
St Mary’s RSL, City of Penrith RSL and Blaxland / Glenbrook RSL Sub-Branches have collaborated with local community business Penrith CBD Corporation to mark this event. Freedom of the City handover at 8:00am will be followed by a parade and service at 10:30am, including a flyover by local Richmond RAAF Base. Poppy Park will be rebuilt for one day only. Blacktown Armistice Day Commemoration
Blacktown City is partnering with Blacktown RSL, Seven Hills – Toongabbie RSL, Riverstone – Schofields RSL and Rooty Hill RSL sub branches together with the Cumberland National Serviceman’s Association, the 202 local Army Cadet Corps, local Scout and Guides Groups and the Air League to come together in this commemoration. There will be a march past and commemorative ceremony to honour this important historical milestone. The march will commence at 10.30 am which will be followed by a commemorative ceremony commencing at 11:00am. The ceremony will be conducted in complete observance of military. Blacktown Showground, Richmond Road, Blacktown.

Come along and join the Seniors Exercise Group at the Hawkesbury Leisure and Learning Centre. Thursday mornings 9.15am -10am. The group is run by Lyn Campbell from Lyn’s Elite Personal Training. Lyn is a registered fitness leader and instructor. Exercise classes help keep your mind active and your body coordinated.
