Showdown in the Showground Barbecue World Championship
A whole weekend of family fun and BBQ! The Hawkesbury Showground will be a buzz with families and meat lovers enjoying the city’s best smoked bites, beers and live entertainment. A highlight event is the 2019 Natural Wood Co. Invitational BBQ Competition, which sees 30 of the top Australian barbecue teams along with 20 top teams from around the world grill, roast and smoke, in a bid to win a share in $50,000 in cash, prizes and trophies. Kids rides, food stalls, Eating competitions, Motocross Stunt show, IWA wrestling demonstrations, local community displays, merchandisers and stalls. Kurrajong Heights Garden Club
We are off to the Southern Highlands this month. After driving to Winifred West Park in Mittagong where we will enjoy self-supplied morning tea, we will visit large magnificent gardens in Sutton Forest, Fitzroy Falls and Avoca. You will also need to bring a picnic lunch to be enjoyed in the beautiful garden at Fitzroy Falls. Costs are $18 (gardens only) plus $5 for non-members. There will be a range of gorgeous items for sale from the gallery shop, as well as from a selection of handpicked artists and makers selling their work on the night.
